2017 TEAM PREVIEW: Mt. Vernon Wildcats

Class: 3A
2016 Record: 13-13
Conference (2016 Record):  Big 8 - 3-3
Returning Starters/Pitchers: 4/4

2017 Team Strengths:

• Leadership 

Top Returning Players:

• Walker Paris, SS/RHP, 2017: .476BA 3.24ERA
• Bryan Hensley, 3B/RHP, 2017: .446BA 2.71ERA
• Dylan Dutkiewicz, RHP, 2017: 3.01ERA 6-3 

Outlook:  Mt. Vernon brings back 4 lineup starters and 4 arms into 2017.  Led by Vincennes recruit, Walker Paris, the Wildcats will compete against top 3A teams in the area including Jasper.  Coach Quinzer expects his leaders to build up his young players throughout the season to hopefully make a playoff run.
