Last year, more than 130 colleges from all over the country were in attendance. Leading up the event, we will highlight each member of Team Florida. Today we look at the standout incoming sophomore 2020 OF/RHP Shawn Perez of Coral Reef HS, FL.
Scouting Report
06/24/17- Broad shoulders, strong frame. A lot of moving parts. Slides across rubber and can get rotational, but when he separates on time and gets extension the ball jumps out of his hand. Has a clean 3/4 arm action, fastball works at 82-85 mph, topping out at 86 with natural arm side life. Showed a feel for a changeup at 77-78 mph and a slider at 72-73 mph.
03/10/17- Really projectable frame, long arms, high waist. He has a feel for the barrel with power potential. Had a hard line drive out and base hit against a quality arm. Has a chance to hit for power in the future.
