Scouting Report
The sweet swinging LHH from Austin has one of the more dynamic offensive profiles in the state. A good athlete, Gillen has the ability to impact the game with his power or his speed. He does a good job of keeping his barrel in the zone for an extended period of time, giving him the ability to impact the baseball to all parts of the field. He recognizes spin well for his age, and does a good job of staying in the zone and not chasing. He could play a couple of different positions at the next level. He has play SS and 2nd throughout his career, but he could also patrol CF if need be.
