Scouting Report
8/01/20
6-1, 210-pound lefty swinging catcher had a big weekend at Future Games. Advanced physicality and strength throughout the weekend. Hit a monster BP with a lot of hard contact (87.5% Hard Hit Percentage), hitting the Trackman leaderboards for average exit velocity (Max: 97.1 mph | Avg: 92.9 mph) . Carried over into game play with heavy dose of barrels and base knocks. Powerful lefty swing with some big league bat speed (Max: 79.6 mph | Avg: 76.2 mph). Behind the dish, handled his business w/ steady hands and receiving. Didn’t pop it the best, but plenty of arms strength and some fine tuning to be a high-quality offensive catcher at the next level. A heavily recruited power 5 lefty power stick, who continues to put together impressive outings at big time events.

Uncommitted C/QB1 Cade Law (CPA) cracked into the rankings at 374 overall behind back-to-back strong weekends at PBR Future Games and Area Code Games. The hulking lefty-swinging catcher has some serious juice (97.1 exit velo via Trackman) and bat speed (79.6 via Blast Motion) to go along with adequate catching skills. Barrel-chested frame and physicality that jumps off the page, Law hit a monster BP round at Futures Games, carrying over to the games with multiple extra base hits. For an encore performance, Law continued his Lakepoint success with a strong AC Games the following weekend. The No. 2 uncommitted prospect in TN shouldn't stay on the board for long.
