Records are made to be broken, and OF Jack Schneider (Daviess County, KY, 2017) shattered two Super 60 records this year, running the fastest 60 time at 6.30 and the biggest arm from the outfield at 98 mph.

For Wisconsin prospects Jarred Kelenic (Waukesha West), the only 2018 prospect, stood out as maybe the top overall prospect in attendance. Running a 6.61, 102 mph exit velocity and a 91 mph arm, Kelenic showed an impressive set of tools combining speed and power. Likely a high draft in 2018, Kelenic will be one of the more high profile prospects this summer.

RHP Nathan Burns (West Bend West, 2017) improved his stock hitting an easy 91 mph from a ¾ slot and feel for three pitches. Burns may not be the highest of draft prospects out of high school, but give him three years at Oregon State and Burns will likely be a good draft.

Oconomowoc’s three sport star, Zach Clayton was a big eye opener who is also trending upward. Clayton, also an Oregon State commit, took one of the best BP’s of the day. At 6-foot-2, 220-pounds he takes a simple, strong, middle of the field approach along with one of the strongest infield arms, making him a stand out corner infield prospect.

Both Clayton and Jack Blomgren (Janesville Craig) had two of the stronger infield arms at 88 mph. Blomgren was one of few in attendance to consider a true shortstop, showing athletic defensive actions and good range, while running a 6.84. Not only his arm strength plays from short, but his quick athletic release allows it to play even better.
