Brown has a strong build at 6-foot-5, 220 pounds. He works through a high-3/4 slot with a long, loose arm action. He sat 88-91 mph the summer before his junior year and touched 92 before needing Tommy John surgery. He has shown the ability to work both sides of the plate with arm-side run and sink at times. His curveball is a swing-and-miss pitch that has 11/5 shape with sharp break and good depth at 73-75. He also has feel for a 73-74 mph changeup with some fade.
