Scouting Report
6.9.17
Burrows, showed a fastball in the upper 80's and touching 90 mph at times early in the outing in the state championship game. The breaking ball was in the mid 70's with proper tilt and break to it. The delivery is compact, has some coil to the leg raise. The separation is on time, breaks down the middle of his body, the arm has average length to it, down to up action to it, works out of a 3/4 to high 3/4 slot. Burrows competes at another level, attacking and coming after the hitters, toyed with the hitters in this outing punching out 15. Big time prospect.

Started the first game on the mound and showed a clean arm swing, with the ability to repeat an athletic delivery. The athletic ability is tremendous and has some swag to his game. I see him as a starter at the next level with an above average spin pitch, and a fastball sitting in the upper 80’s. As a positional player, can play shortstop and the outfield. Shows a solid glove at both spots and the ability to make all the throws. At the plate, the swing is loose and free. Plus hand speed with gap to gap power. If he cuts down on his swing and spreads the field he will be a good offensive player at the next level. Singled in the game during the event.
8/5/15
On the mound, showed a fast and quick twitch delivery. Pitched with ease at 80-83 and spun a mid 60’s breaking ball. The breaking pitch had the right shape and tilt to it. The changeup is still a work in progress but he threw it, 72-73 He is athletic and he repeats his delivery. As a positional player, he played the outfield and shortstop, plenty athletic to do both. Ran a 7.5. Threw 80 from his position, with carry and accuracy. The bat works and has life to it. The path needs to be flattened a bit but he is athletic and loose. The tee exit velocity was 87. Big time prospect in my eyes. I like him more on the mound, but who knows with 3 years to go.
