Swanda, a 6-foot-2, 185-pound two-way player, has clean, athletic actions on the mound. He has a loose arm and explodes at the plate with extension and showed increased velocity late in the fall, touching 92-93. He also mixes in a hard breaking ball with tight spin and his changeup stays downhill with good fade. He’s a strike thrower, filling up the zone with three pitches. He’ll likely just pitch at the Super 60, but is a legitimate two-way prospect for college. On the other side of the ball, he runs a 7.34 60 and stays short to contact with above average power. He uses the whole field and flashes the ability to hit for average. Defensively, his hands are soft and he makes a quick, clean exchange. He has good body control and shows the ability to throw from multiple angles.
