The son of former big leaguer Shane Halter, Gunner has a lean, athletic frame at 6-foot-3, 165 pounds. He has athetlic actions in the field with a quick transfer, fluid footwork and soft hands. His loose arm action produces a positional velocity in the mid to high 80s. He was clocked at 6.97 seconds in the 60 last fall. At the plate, he has an advanced approach with no wasted movement and stays in the middle of the field. He has also been up to 92 mph on the mound and may be gaining some interest from scouts as a pitcher.
