Coffey was one of the top uncommitted players heading into the summer, but increased as a high level Division I prospect and potential 2017 draft. The 6-foot-2, 170 pounder has improved in all facets of his game. He possesses athletic actions at shortstop along with plenty of arm strength. At a PBR event earlier in the year, he ran a 6.68 60. One of the biggest areas of improvement for Coffey this summer was at the plate where he showed good barrel control with more bat speed and an increase in power.
