Super 60 Player Preview: RHP/SS Storm Rynard (Raymore-Peculiar)
January 30, 2013
One of eight Class of 2014 player selected for the Super 60, RHP/SS Storm Rynard from Raymore-Peculiar HS is looking to make a big slash with MLB scouts on what may be his biggest stage to date, and our guess is it won't be his last.
The 6-foot, 172-pounder is verbally committed to Arkansas, and at the Midwest Future Games, he showed why. His fastball sat at 87-89, and touched 90 on occasion. Rynard also commanded a wicked 77-79 mph slider that is a legitimate swing-and-miss pitch. Rynard pounded the strike zone and was essentially unhittable in his stint. He worked fast and challenged hitters. Rynard also set a Future Games record by throwing 91 mph across the infield.
