Stock Report: 2014 RHP/1B Eric Ligda

Eric Ligda showed the top fast ball of the day at the Eastern PA Top Prospect Showcase in June topping out at 84 mph. His 6-foot-5, 185-pound frame was put to good use as he effortlessly sat at 82-83 mph with a 71 mph curve ball. He demonstrated excellent control of his secondary pitches and good sink to his split finger fast ball. Ligda went on to represent Team Pennsylvania at the 2012 Midwest Future Games where he showed well again.
Ligda showed his athleticsm at the Triple Crown Sports United States Baseball Championships in Richmond, VA in July. He participated in the home run derby at the All-Star game which aired on CBS Sports Network. Ligda went on to win the championship and was interviewed on national television after the event.
