2018 C Andrew Stanley committed to the University of Arkansas on Friday afternoon. The catcher from Searcy is the top ranked catcher in the 2018 class rankings. He is the second commitment Arkansas has received this week from an in-state player ( Wade Beasley) and the fifth in the class overall.
Stanley has stood out as a good hitter with an advanced feel for the barrel and an ever improving defender. He is a player that continues to improve each time I see him. He impressed several scouts in with a solid three day performance at PBR Futures Games in Westfield Indiana earlier this month. He record multi-hit games in all three games and defended well.
After the event his recruiting spiked garner interest from schools in the Big 12, SEC and Sun Belt Conference. Last week end he attended camp at Arkansas, with another solid performance, Stanley picked up an offer and made is commitment soon after. Below you will find my complete scouting report on Stanley.

He receives with proper angles and soft hands. He shows solid technique and a high motor during blocking drills. Overall Stanley is an advanced hitter with solid athleticism that will allow to play a secondary position if necessary.
