Season Outlook
After reaching the state tournament two years ago, the Wildcats will look to make another run at it talent spread through every class. Ponca City will return four starting position players and three pitchers who contributed more than 15 innings a piece last year.

On the mound, right-hander Ethan Deibler and left-hander Brayden Angle will likely lead the way for the Wildcats. Joining the two seniors at the top of the staff could be freshman Aaron Hosack and sophomore Tanner Denton, both looking to have breakout years. Senior Kaiden Colberg could also contribute on the mound again this year.

Offensively, Ponca City will look to P.O. Seals along with Taylor Hedge to do damage in the middle of the order. Denton could be the new catalyst at the top of the order for the Wildcats along with Angle.  Colberg and Deibler will also likely make big contributions to the offense.

Defensively, there is no surprise that Ponca City’s best defenders play in the middle of the field. Deibler will lead form shortstop when not on the mound, and will be joined by Hedge to his left at second base. In the outfield, Angle  will patrol centerfield with his athleticism and provide leadership.  The dynamic freshman Eli Wohl will be an asset behind the dish as well as in the outfield for the Wildcats.
