season preview

While the Flatonia Bulldogs have had plenty of time to shine the hardware that comes with being a state champion, Head Coach Bryan Zimmermann will undoubtedly have his 2017 squad ready to roll. On the mound, the Dawgs are prepped to lean on lefty Easton Migl, a senior with plenty of big-game experience under his belt. Partnering with Migl atop the Flatonia pitching staff is Kaddin Mikulik, a San Jacinto College commit. Like Migl, Mikulik is no stranger to the spotlight.

A scrapper on the football field, senior San Juan Ramirez is set to return as Coach Zimmermann’s primary catcher. Fellow seniors Matthew Rowell and Kyle Etzler will patrol the Flatonia outfield and hot corner, respectively. The younger Mikulik, Kannin is an intriguing freshman that Coach Zimmermann highlighted as a player to keep an eye on as he strides into his first varsity season.
