Scouting Report
Preseason All-State Session II
Positional Profile: LHP/OF
Body: 5’9”, 147 pounds. Athletic, lanky frame.
Hit: RHH. Hits from a tall, balanced, open stance at the plate. Small leg kick load and creates some hand separation. Short to the ball with a slightly uphill swing path. Generates quick bat speed through the zone and showed a beautiful middle of the field line drive approach. Gets good extension through contact and finishes with one-hand.
Power: 86 mph exit velocity from the tee. Gap pop present with more developing.
Arm: LH. OF - 80 mph. Throws with long arm action from a high three-quarter slot.
Defense: Plays through the ball and fields it out in front on the glove hand side. Showed quick, clean exchanges and quick, fundamental footwork.
Run: 4.59 home-to-first time.
Delivery: Starts with a controlled, side rocker step into a chest high leg kick. Arm works well with the body. Hand separation is on time and fluid. Generates good drive off of his back leg and gets down the hill well. Lands in athletic fielding position.
Arm Action: LH. Throws downhill out of a mid three-quarter arm slot.
FB: T80 mph, 77-80 mph. Arm-side run was evident.
CB: 63-65 mph. Loopy, 2/8 action and shape.
CH: 71-73 mph. Subtle movement out of the hand.
SL: 68-69 mph. Tight spin.
