SoCal Player of the Week: 4/19-4/24

2021 SS Max Muncy (Thousand Oaks HS) has been named this week’s  Prep Baseball Report SoCal Player of the Week thanks to his outstanding performance at the plate last week.

Muncy continued his torrid pace last week as the Lancers, No. 2 in this week’s Power 25,  swept a league series against Agoura last week. The Arkansas commit participated in the 2020 SoCal ProCase and what he showed last week is what we’ve seen from him the last few years. During the three-game series Muncy was 8-for-12 at the plate with 2 doubles, 2 HR, and 6 RBI, good for a .750 average, while playing stellar defense at shortstop. For the season Muncy is hitting .457 in 46 at-bats with 15 RBI, 6 doubles, and the 2 home runs hit last week. 

For his outstanding performances last week, we congratulate Ryan Stafford of Folsom HS for being named the Prep Baseball Report SoCal Player of the Week for the week of April 19th - April 24th. We salute his accomplishments and wish he and his teammates continued success this spring.
