2015 MIF/RHP Braiden Popluhar (Frankfort HS) had a solid showing at the Shenandoah Valley College Prospect Showcase displaying two-way abilities as a middle infielder and as a pitcher. The 5-foot-10, 165-pound right-handed hitter displayed the ability to use all fields from a square stance during his round of batting practice. Popluhar barreled the baseball routinely with a lift and replace stride foot and registered a bat exit velocity of 81 mph.
Currently ranked No. 32 in the WV Class of 2015, Popluhar showcased the ability to play the baseball on the move with an accurate 76 mph arm across the diamond. The righty sat 77-79 out of a high 3/4 arm slot during his bullpen session. Popluhar also showcased a 68 mph changeup thrown at near fastball arm speed with some cut action as well as a 65 mph curveball with 12/6 rotation.
