2019 Outlook:
In his inaugural year leading the Trojans, Coach Thompson is looking to right the ship and have his team competing for a league crown. The biggest strengths for the Trojans this year will be on the mound and behind the plate. This team has 5 pitchers in various roles who Coach Thompson is expecting big things from this year and this should help to keep this team competitive in most games. '19 C Andrew Keys will be handling the pitching staff and Coach Thompson speaks highly of his ability to shut down opposing teams running games. '19 INF Nick Wetzel and '20 INF Jackson LoBianco will look to make plays behind the pitchers and be leaders in the lineup. If this team is going to go far this year, it looks to be on the shoulders of the pitching staff. '19 RHP Brad Hodges has made big leaps both physically and with his skill and will be the counted on Ace in 2019.
The Trojans only return 2 starting position players which will leave a big question mark for them both defensively and offensively heading into this season. They'll need to play good defense behind their pitching staff and if they do this then they will be able to mark down some big wins this year. This team will also need some first-time starters to step up and get big hits in key situations filling up the offensive production. If theTrojans get some guys to step up offensively then the sky is the limit for this young team.
