2019 Outlook:
Even though it was a down year in 2018 for the Diamond Bar Brahmas, Coach Hurst expects this team to rebound and is looking forward to leading them back to the playoffs. Their offense will carry them, so expect the Brahmas to win a lot of high scoring games. Their offense will be led by '20 SS Alonzo Fuller who is coming off back-to-back All-League awards while being the heart of their order. He will also lead the Brahmas other key strength, their overall team defense. Limiting mistakes will be key and will help overcome some deficiencies from a young pitching staff. The big question mark will be on the mound. Coach Hurst is looking for strike throwers who will let the defense do their job and keep them out of bad situations. '19 RHP Sean Martin will be asked to eat up a lot of innings for the young staff and has made consistent jumps yearly. With a big offense, if the Brahmas can solidify their pitching staff they could be playing late into the playoffs.
