TEAM STRENGTHS
River Hill has great starting pitching for the 2015 season. Not only do they have good starters, they also have overall depth from top to bottom. One of their big contributors is RHP Kieran Garner. A 2017 graduate, Garner is getting interest from multiple division I programs in the Mid-Atlantic region.
The Hawks have an interesting dynamic to their team in that they are relatively young, but those youngsters have a good amount of experience at the varsity level. It is something that bodes well for the future.
QUESTION MARK
The team will need to be able to put runs up on the board. Last season a majority of their losses were of the one or two run variety. Their pitching staff will lead the way, and if they can create on offense it should be a big help.
WILDCARD
Josh Mann and Luke Champion are both freshman that the coaching staff are very excited about. The team in general has a good young nucleus in the freshmen ranks so once again the direction of the program looks to be a good one. With this young talent, the team looks to be able to shape a strong program in years to come.
OVERALL
If the offense can create some runs it would be a huge help to the team. The pitching staff should pace the Hawks as the hitters feel their way out early. Look for a strong second half especially if they create an offensive presence. This could be a surprise team come playoff time.
