New Braunfels and McCollum duked it out in a low scoring affair to start the San Antonio Classic tournament. McCollum out-hit New Braunfels 6-3, but New Braunfels' ability to capitalize with runners on base was the difference in their 2-1 victory.

Backed by a strong pitching performance by senior ace Michael McElmeel, Antonian was able to scratch out a 5-2 victory. Antonian and MacArthur were tied 2-2 in the sixth, but MacArthur couldn't hold the Apaches down in the top of the 7th, allowing three runs on three hits and two walks.

Smithson Valley and Churchill both had strong pitching performances, and each team recorded 7 hits. Smithson Valley's CJ Horn would drive in a run on a sacrifice fly in the first inning, and they would add an insurance run to their lead in the fourth. Noah Rosol earned the win for the Rangers and Smithson Valley's defense would play clean behind him for a 2-0 victory over Churchill.
