The Prep Baseball Report Michigan held its second showcase in as many days at Siena Heights University in Adrian, MI on Wednesday. There was a good turnout of talent as well as a good turnout of schools. Nearly every division 1 school in Michigan attended the event as well as Adrian, Siena Heights, Wayne State, and Hillsdale.
Coaches were treated to some top talent. Here are some highlights:
- Jackson Lamb, 2013, OF/RHP, Bedford HS. lit up the radar gun both on the mound and in the field. On his third throw to third base Lamb touched 91MPH from the outfield. Once on the mound his fastball sat comfortably at 91-93.
- Brad Schaenzer was almost as impressive as Lamb. Only a sophomore Schaenzer is planning on attending the PBR Midwest Futures Games powered by Under Armour to represent the state of Michigan. We are excited to see him perform simliarly to what he did on Wednesday as he pounded the strike zone with a heavy fastball. He touched 88 MPH and sat 86-87 MPH.
- Zach McGuire, a teamate of Schaenzer, swung the bat well and showed really well both from the outfield and at thirdbase. He displayed a strong arm from all positions and physically still has more left to grow. He is only going to get stronger and faster.
Come back for a full write-up later this weekend.
