Several more prospects have named their school recently:
Bill Hayes, a 5-foot-11, 170-pound catcher from Lemont HS, has committed to Mesa CC in Arizona. Hayes, who’s currently ranked No. 117 in Illinois’ 2013 class, showed extremely well at the PBR Unsigned Senior Showcase in October, as he posted 1.93-2.10 pop times and was clocked at 80 mph from the crouch.
Michael Lorenz, a left-handed hitting outfielder from Lyons Township HS, committed to St. Joseph’s College. The 6-foot Lorenz, who is currently ranked No. 101 in Illinois, ran a 6.68 60 in the summer. He showed extremely well in helping the Lions win the IHSBCA summer state championship.
Mitchell Van Koevering, an infielder from Lyons Township HS, has committed to Kalamazoo College.
Alex Ventrella, a LHP from Lisle HS, has committed to Oakton CC. The 6-foot Ventrella showed well during the Unsigned Senior Showcase, displaying excellent feel for three pitches, including a 79-82 mph fastball.
Arron Buck, a catcher from Rockford Guilford HS, has committed to Carroll College in Wisconsin.
