OF Michael Potter from SLUH has committed to Spring Hill College. At a recent PBR Showcase Potter impressed with his athleticism and aggressiveness to the baseball. The 5-foot-10, 150-pounder produced accurate 76-78 mph throws. On offense, the right-handed hitter displayed quick hands and a knack for consistent, hard contact.
DJ Hickey from Timberland made his commitment to Jefferson College. The athletically built 6-foot-1, 190-pound LHP comes from a high ¾ slot with an easy arm action. He has a deceptive delivery and hides the ball well on all pitches, as he repeatedly threw his fastball at 75-76 mph with some cut. He also featured a 2-to-8 curveball in the 62-64 mph range. Hickey’s changeup looked to be his best pitch, as it demonstrated late downward action to the arm side with fastball arm speed.
Other players recently making their commitments are:
JJ Guether (SLUH)- Truman State
Austin Tinsley (Eureka)- Truman State
Mike Lydon-Larsen (Eureka)- Rockhurst
Brandon McGill (Timberland)- Delta State
