PBR: Why did you choose Northwest Missouri State?
I chose Northwest Missouri State because I felt it was a good fit for me. I feel like I will fit in there and be needed on their baseball team.
PBR: What other schools were you considering?
I was also considering UNK and Kansas but Northwest and UNK were the only schools to offer me.
I first met Coach Loe at a camp I went to in the fall and we talked and would exchange emails and texts and our relationship just kept growing from there.
PBR: Do you feel relieved now that the process is over and you can just focus on baseball and not deal with everything that goes into picking a school?
I feel somewhat relieved because now I can focus on basketball in the winter, baseball in the summer, and track in the spring because Kearney High does not offer baseball during that time.
There wasn't one deciding factor that put my choice over the top.
My parents and my coaches were most influential in getting me to where I am today. My dad and coaches would work with me in the cages and on the field and my parents together would drive me to camps and other things to help me become a better baseball player.
Recruiting was kind of difficult at the start because I was not used to the process at first.
Coach Loe certainly wants to see me develop in the fall of my freshman year and we would move forward after that.
My most memorable baseball moment was my home run I hit against North Platte last year.
The best player I competed against was Jonah Ulane.
