Trae Robertson (Hickman, 2018) is a 6-foot-4 180-pound left-handed pitcher and has committed to Missouri. 

Robertson has been up to 87 and worked 84-86 mph at the Top Prospect Games last fall.  He has an easy and loose arm action giving his fastball late life with arm side run.  He has a sharp 1-to-7 slider at 68-72 and to go along with his quick arm speed.

Robertson has a lean and slender frame that will allow for added strength as he continues to mature physically.  Here is a look inside the recruiting process for Trae Robertson. 

PBR: What were your expectations about the recruiting process? Was it as expected? Easy/Difficult?

Robertson: I didn't really come into it with many expectations other than I wanted to play baseball at the best level I could and it kind of just came to me.

PBR: Did location or distance from home play a factor in your decision?

Robertson: Staying home is going to be nice but for me it's more about being in a place that would fit me all around the best.

PBR: Where did Missouri chose first see you? How did your relationship develop with them?

Robertson: I've been to a couple of tournaments at Mizzou so probably at one of those. Whenever I talked to any of the coaches it was clear that they're all really nice genuine guys. They're the kind of coaches I know will be the best for me.

PBR: Who is the best player you have faced in your state, and why?

Robertson: Bayler Hinz, I've played with him on Mac N Seitz and against him a few times. He's a pretty impressive two-way player and I think it's really fun to watch him hit.

PBR: What advice would you give to young baseball players striving to get where you are?

Robertson: Set goals, and make sure you put yourself in a position to achieve them. Leave yourself with no doubt of being successful.

PBR: What do you do in the offseason to keep yourself in baseball shape and prepare for the upcoming season?

Robertson: I have workouts with my high school team as well as my club team, Mac N Seitz.

PBR: What is the most memorable moment in your baseball career to this point?

Robertson: Throwing a no hitter with 15 strikeouts

PBR: What do you like most about Missouri and what were the key factors in making your decision?

Robertson: I like the coaching staff, they're really successful and I’m excited to see what they will do for the team in the next couple of years. It's just really convenient that Mizzou is in my hometown. One of my big goals was to play SEC baseball.

PBR: What other schools were on your short list before you made your final decision?

Robertson: Arkansas, Kansas State, and Missouri State

PBR: When did the recruiting process really start to heat up for you? Was there a particular game or event that you feel turned the corner for you?

Robertson: The summer and fall of my sophomore year is when schools started to approach me, there wasn't a certain event.

PBR: Preview your high school season for us. How do you feel your team will be? What are your expectations and goals?

Robertson: Last year we had a 20-10 record and I'm more confident in our team this year. We want to make a state run this season and I think we're more than capable.

PBR: Where do you play in the summer? And what has been your most memorable experience with them?

Robertson: Mac N Seitz, going to the perfect game complex in Atlanta was an amazing experience. There were hundreds of scouts and the vibe was awesome.
