PBR: As you enter your junior year in high school, where are you
currently in the recruiting process?
Reid: Currently just gathering information on a number of schools that have contacted me and weighing their interest in me.
PBR: What are your expectations for the recruiting process?
Reid: I want to go and see as many schools as possible.
PBR: What level of baseball do you see yourself playing at the next level?
Reid: I want to play at a high Division 1 level.
PBR: What schools are you most interested in right now, and why?
Reid: Notre Dame, Michigan, and Harvard. They have great academic traditions. We have looked at a couple of schools down south as well.
PBR: What aspect of your game do you believe needs the most improvement?
Reid: I have good straight line speed but I want to increase my overall quickness. I also am working with a strength trainer 4 days a week and a throwing coach at least once a week.
PBR: How did this past season turn out for you?
I had a good High School Season and a really good summer. I hit about 350 for my high school and 400 this summer.
PBR: What are your high school team goals for the 2013 season?
Bishop Foley has won back to back State Championships and we are going for 3 in a row.
PBR: What are your personal goals for 2013?
Reid: First I want to help my high school team win the State Championship. I believe with the hard work I am doing I can get my fastball to 88-90 mph. I also would like to get my weight up to 190 lbs.
PBR: What team do you play for in the summer?
Reid: Undecided for next summer.
PBR: What is your fondest memory or highlight from this?
Reid: I really had a great time at the PBR Future Games this summer. We played great as a team and I met a bunch of great players. I started against Team Indiana and had 7 strikeouts in 3 innings. I think that put me on the map with a lot of schools.
PBR: What were your stats from this past year?
Reid: I hit .400 this summer and .350 for my high school team. I don't know what my pitching stats were.
PBR: What is your GPA? ACT or SAT score? If you have not taken it do
you have a planned date?
Reid: I am taking the ACT in the fall and currently have a 3.75 GPA.
PBR: Have you decided on a major or narrowed it down?
Reid: Medicine or computer science.
