Statistics
PBR; What were your expectations about the recruiting process? Was it as expected? Easy/Difficult?
Watt: I personally didn’t really have any expectations, both my older brothers ended up playing college baseball and I knew if I wanted to play I would find somewhere. It was pretty easy for me just knowing that I had time and knew that call would come eventually.
PBR: Did location or distance from home play a factor in your decision?
Watt: I would say as I started out the process I didn’t care much about distance but I am happy now that I am not too far away from home.
PBR: Where did Central Arkansas first see you? How did your relationship develop with them?
Watt: Central Arkansas first saw me in Joplin this summer and right after that tournament I received a call and built a really good relationship talking almost everyday with the coaches.
PBR: Who is the best player you have faced in your state, and why?
Watt: I would say one of the best players I have faced in my state is Drew Howard. He is an all around great ball player from fielding to hitting he is just a solid player.
PBR: What advice would you give to young baseball players striving to get where you are?
Watt: Don’t stop till you get where you want to. Don’t let a coach tell you that you won’t succeed and play college baseball.
PBR: What do you do in the offseason to keep yourself in baseball shape and prepare for the upcoming season?
Watt: I workout a few times a week at Results Gym KC as well as playing hockey in the winter. Always hitting and catching throughout the year though.
PBR: What is the most memorable moment in your baseball career to this point?
Watt: Most memorable moment of my baseball career would have to be winning state my sophomore year.
PBR: What do you like most about Central Arkansas and what were the key factors in making your decision?
Watt: Loved the campus and coaching staff really inviting people and seems like a really good fit.
PBR: What other schools were on your short list before you made your final decision?
Watt: Minnesota, Minnesota Mankato, California State University Northridge, Western Illinois, Oklahoma NOC, Dartmouth
PBR: When did the recruiting process really start to heat up for you? Was there a particular game or event that you feel turned the corner for you?
Watt: The recruiting process really heated up during my junior year high school season.
PBR: Preview your high school season for us. How do you feel your team will be? What are your expectations and goals?
Watt: Our team will be solid but really young only returning a few starters from last year. We are gonna take one game at a time and hopefully pull out a Sunflower League championship and follow with a title.
PBR: Where do you play in the summer? And what has been your most memorable experience with them?
Watt: I play with Building Champions, I have had a lot of memories with the program but all in all is just making life long friends.
