Q&A with Mitch Haythorn

Q: You attended the Junior Future Games in Georgia. When you left the event and headed back to Colorado, what was your overall impression of the event?

Haythorn: After attending the Junior Future games, I realized how much better I need to get. I told myself that in order to compete at that level, I need to work harder than I have before.

Q: What has the recruiting process been like for you now and before the Junior Future Games?

Haythorn: Before the Junior Futures games I had little to no type of recruitment. After the games, because of social media, I began gaining more following from coaches. Now, because of the publicity from PBR it has opened more doors for me in the recruiting process.

Q: What was it like playing with some of the top talent in the nation at at the Junior Future Games?

HaythornPlaying with the top players across the country during the event really opened my eyes. Not only did I realized how much harder I need work, it also gave me motivation and confidence knowing that I could compete at this level of baseball.

Q: What are you most excited about for the ’22 high school season?

Haythorn: Beginning the 22’ high school season I am most excited about repeating as state champions and being able to be around my teammates.

Q:  Who had the biggest impact on your baseball career?

Haythorn: Many coaches, teammates and family have impacted my baseball career in many ways. If I had to narrow it down I would most definitely say Mike Anderson and my dad, because they have been there for me for a very long time.

Q: Lastly, out of all the PBR events you have attended in your career, what has PBR meant to you during your time playing baseball in Colorado?

Haythorn: PBR has meant so much to me and not only helped my recruitment process but my baseball experience as a whole. Once I began attending PBR events I changed so much as a baseball player.
