PBR: Why did you choose Triton CC?
HOLETS: I chose Triton because of the great coaching staff, the facilities, and they play in a competitive conference in the Chicago area.
PBR: What other schools were you considering?
HOLETS: I chose Triton over Southwest Minnesota State, St. Thomas, Ellsworth CC and DMACC.
PBR: How did your relationship develop with the coaching staff?
HOLETS: A former Century baseball player went to Triton after high school to play baseball, and he thought I would be a good fit in the program. The coach then made some calls and looked at my PBR profile.
PBR: Do you feel relieved now that the process is over and you can just focus on baseball and not deal with everything that goes into picking a school?
HOLETS: Yes I do, it is nice to be able to focus on offseason work rather than still choosing a college.
PBR: Was there one deciding factor that put your choice over the top?
HOLETS: They are finishing up a few minor things on their new 4 million dollar field, which adds on to the nice facilities they already had to offer.
PBR: Who has helped you the most to get to where you are today?
HOLETS: Brett Thorney (Twin Cities Baseball Academy) and Rob Allison were easily the biggest help in getting me where I am today. My dad also stood by my side throughout all my years of baseball and I couldn't thank him enough.
PBR: What were your expectations about the recruiting process? Was it easy/difficult?
HOLETS: The recruiting process starts a long time before any coach shows interest in you. It's the hard work you put in years before to build a solid foundation of good work ethic and determination. I wasn't involved in Club ball, so I didn't realize that until about a year ago, so I felt it was more difficult than I would've expected.
PBR: What plans does the coaching staff have in store for you in your freshman season?
HOLETS: I will be one of 4 MIF's, and I will compete for a starting spot.
PBR: What is your most memorable baseball moment to date?
HOLETS: Taking 3rd place in the PG Kernels Tournament.
PBR: Who is the best player that you have competed against?
HOLETS: Probably Gavin Lux from the Rawlings Hitters.
