PBR: Where have you decided to attend college and why did you make this choice?
D'Orso: I decided to commit to Kent State.
PBR: What other schools were you considering?
D'Orso: I was considering Longwood the most, but also Delaware State, UNC Central and Bucknell as well.
PBR: Where did the coaches first see you? How did your relationship develop with their coaching staff?
D'Orso: The Kent State coaches saw me down in Georgia at Perfect Game USA this July.
PBR: What role do the coaches expect you to play your first year on campus?
D'Orso: My role as a freshman is going to be to make an impact on the team. The coach says he expects me to start with the kind of offer they gave me.
PBR: What is your biggest strength as a player and how do you feel that will help your team?
D'Orso: My greatest strength is being a 5 tool player. I feel like I can use my speed, arm strength, power, etc. in some fashion every game to help make a difference.
PBR: Who do you play for in the summer and what was your most memorable experience from this past summer?
D'Orso: I play for the Evoshield Canes MA, and my best memory of the summer was hitting a home run at Perfect Game in Georgia in front of Kent State coaches!
PBR: What is your current GPA?
D'Orso: My current GPA is 3.2.
PBR: Now that you have your commitment out of the way, what are your goals both individually and for the team going into your senior season?
D'Orso: My goals now that I got commiting out of the way is to get bigger, stronger, faster and ultimately grow as a ball player. I need to focus on doing everything I can to continue to help me progress as a player. For my senior season, my goal is to lead my team to winning our division. We will be in a new league so we want to surprise some people and make a run for the state championship!
