Auston Brandt OF 2014 Portland High School
PBR - Why did you choose Davenport? What do you plan to study in college?
Brandt – I chose Davenport because it is a smaller school, a place to get a good one on one education, and I really like the coaching staff. I plan to study sports management and marketing
PBR - What other schools were recruiting you?
Brandt – I was looking at Kalamazoo, Aquinas, and Lansing Community College.
PBR - What are your goals for the season ahead as a team and personal?
Brandt – For the team I want to be able to get back and win another district championship and win the league. For myself, I want to be able to focus on the base paths and lead the area in steals and be able to do what I can to lead our team to that title.
PBR - Who has influenced your baseball career the most?
Brandt – My parents, they have encouraged me and helped me my entire life going out with me to hit and work with me whenever I wanted.
PBR - What is your most memorable moment in baseball?
Brandt - My most memorable moment in baseball is sophomore year when our team won the district title.
