PBR: Why did you choose Bowling Green?

Giddings:   I chose Bowling Green because it was a perfect fit for me. Close to home, great coaches, and a great program.

PBR: What other schools were you considering?

Giddings:  Morehead State, Michigan State, Middle Tennessee State, Ohio, and Marshall 

PBR: Where did Coach Schmitz first see you? How did your relationship develop with their coaching staff?

Giddings: Coach Schmitz first saw me in the Cincinnati Wood Bat Tournament at Kent State. My relationship grew increasingly after that game and on the visit. They are incredible coaches with a great reputation. 

PBR: How does it feel to be a part of a Division 1 baseball program?

Giddings: As any other baseball player would say, "I would love to play Division 1 baseball", it's very humbling to finally say that I will be playing division 1 baseball. 

PBR: What role do the coaches expect you to play your first year on campus?

Giddings:  The coaches at Bowling Green expect me to work hard and earn a starting spot in their program. My ultimate goal is start, but also be a great teammate and motivator. 

PBR: What is your biggest strength as a player and how do you feel that you will help Falcon baseball?

Giddings:  My biggest strength as a player is my bat and my versatility. Being a lefty hitter gives me a good advantages especially with power. As for the defense, I play multiple positions so it gives me a good advantage of trying out at those places.

PBR: Who do you play for in the summer and what was the most memorable experience from this summer?

Giddings:  I play for Ohio Elite (Valentine). The most memorable experience from this summer was just being with the teammates and playing against the great competition every weekend. 

PBR: What were your expectations about the recruiting process? 

Giddings:  My expectations were pretty similar to my expectations now. I knew at first it would be fun knowing that colleges were interested in you but as the year went along it starts to get stressful especially when colleges are starting to get more and more commits.

PBR: What were your stats this spring season at Pickerington North?

Giddings:  Batting: BA: .310 OBP: .430 H: 21 RBI: 23 R: 12 HR: 1 

Pitching: ERA: 2.29 record: 6-3 IP: 49 K: 35

PBR: Who is the toughest pitcher that you have faced in Ohio?

Giddings:  The toughest pitcher I faced in Ohio was Jarod Yoakam from Marysville. His fastball moved like none other especially with his arm action.
