PBR: Where did Coach Beals first see you? How did your relationship develop with them?
Romans: The OSU coaching staff heard about me through Walsh Jesuit and then saw me play multiple times throughout the summer with the Midwest Pelicans.
PBR: You are only a Junior and you have made your commitment very early. Why did you chose to make your decision so soon and are you finished with the recruiting process?
Romans: I didn’t feel like I was doing anything too early. I knew Ohio State was the right spot and that’s where I’m going.
PBR: What role do the coaches expect you to play your first year on campus?
Romans: Make the most of every opportunity and do whatever I can to help positively impact the team.
PBR: You play for powerhouse Walsh Jesuit. How does it feel to play for such a rich baseball tradition program?
Romans: I love playing for Coach Kaczmar and the Walsh Jesuit baseball program where the standards have been set so high by the coaching staff and previous players. Being able to start as a freshman was such a great opportunity that gave me great experience and made me a more mature player.
