PBR: Why did you choose Dayton?
Schnitkey: I chose Dayton because I could see myself going to the university without baseball in my life along with having such an amazing campus and because of the relationships I gained with the coaching staff so quickly.
PBR: What other schools were you considering?
Schnitkey: Other schools I was considering were; Akron, Ball State, Central Michigan, Marshall, Xavier, Wright State, Toledo.
PBR: Where did Dayton first see you compete?
Schnitkey: They first saw me at Top Prospect Games.
PBR: What is your biggest strength as a player and how do you feel that you will help as a Flyer?
Schnitkey: As a player, I feel like my biggest strength is my mentality towards the game and always coming back better the next day you step on the field. I feel that I can help the Flyers in any pitching position and help lead to the A10 Championship.
PBR: What team do you play for in the summer and what was the most memorable experience from this summer?
Schnitkey: I play for Ohio Elite Baseball. The most memorable experience coming from a PO, is going into the batting order to DH and hitting a triple in Atlanta.
PBR: Who has had the biggest impact on you as a baseball player?
Schnitkey: It's hard to say just one person, so I'm going to say my family overall, just for how they are always there for me, always at my games and are always encouraging me to be the best I can be as a player.
PBR: What were your stats last spring at Archbold?
Schnitkey: 40 IP, 28 Hits, 55 K's, and 2.5 ERA.
PBR: Who is the toughest hitter that you have faced in Ohio?
Schnitkey: The toughest hitter I have faced is Ty Suntken.
