PBR: Why did you choose Ashland?
Beaumont: Everyone always has told me,you know when you're on that campus. This just felt like that campus.
PBR: What other schools were you considering?
Beaumont: Lake Erie, Marietta, Wright State
PBR: Where did the Coach Schaly first see you? How did your relationship develop with him?
Beaumont: He actually saw me the first time at a showcase at Ashland. And a couple weeks later I got on campus and we sat down and I could really see myself being able to play under him for four years
PBR: Who do you play for in the summer and what was the most memorable experience from this summer?
Beaumont: Diamond Boys Baseball club. Most memorable moment was probably hanging a zero through five against Bergan Beach
PBR: Ashland is making several new upgrades to their baseball facility. How much of a role did that play in your decision?
Beaumont: Committing to a college is a huge decision. So a lot of research has to go into your choice. So something like this plays into the whole decision in a huge way.
PBR: Now that you have your commitment out of the way, what are your goals both individually and for the team for the rest of your senior season?
Beaumont: Nobody expects us to do much this year. I just want to surprise people and do something big.
PBR: What were your stats for last spring season at Tallmadge?
Beaumont: 2-2 with a save. 25 K's 30 innings
PBR: Who is the toughest hitter that you have faced in Ohio?
Beaumont: Caleb Potter.
