PBR: Why did you choose Walsh?
Etgen: I chose Walsh because of the great campus environment and how the coaching staff ran its practices.
PBR: What other schools were you considering?
Etgen: It was down to Grove City and Walsh
PBR: Where did the Walsh coaching staff first see you? How did your relationship develop with them?
Etgen: They saw me at Crossroads and they sent me a baseball package and I went up and met Coach Mead
PBR: What role do the coaches expect you to play your first year on campus?
Etgen: They have some vacancies in their infield and I expect to compete for playing time
PBR: What is your biggest strength as a player and how do you feel that you will help Walsh baseball?
Etgen: My biggest strength is my baseball savvy and my will to win
PBR: What was the most memorable experience from this summer?
Etgen: I hit a walk off HR to put our team ahead in a tournament down in Cincinnati
PBR: Now that you have your commitment out of the way, what are your goals both individually and for the team for the rest of your senior season?
Etgen: My goal is to win a district championship along with a CCL championship
PBR: What were your stats for last spring season at Bishop Ready?
Etgen: 389 avg 466 obp 23 rbi 25 runs
PBR: Who is the toughest pitcher that you have faced in Ohio?
Etgen: Jason Johnson (Dublin Jerome and Dayton commit).
