PBR: Why did you choose Sinclair?

Combs: Sinclair is close to home so my parents can still watch me play and it’s a JUCO powerhouse with a great reputation on developing players to make them even better and get them ready for D1

PBR: What other schools were you considering?

Combs: Alderson- Broaddus

PBR: Sinclair is known for sending many of their players to 4 year colleges. How much of a role did that play in your decision to go to Sinclair?

Combs: Very big , it is a chance to play great baseball and continue to improve so you can jump in at a four year program and contribute right away

PBR: Where did the Coach Dintaman first see you?

Combs: At a PBR event my sophomore year at AIA in xenia. He also has seen me throughout the summer season with the Dayton Classics

PBR: Sinclair is a national JUCO power. How does it feel to know that you will be playing for a national contender the next 4 years?

Combs It’s an awesome feeling knowing that I will be apart of such a good program with great coaches and players who have some of the same goals I do. Also knowing I have the opportunity to compete for a championship.

PBR: What role do the coaches expect you to play your first year on campus?

Combs: Coach Dintaman told me I have a very good chance of stepping in and competing for a starting job at third.

PBR: What team do you play for in the summer?

Combs: Dayton Classics. Last summer was awesome as we finished 3rd at the CABA World Series.

PBR: What were your expectations about the recruiting process?

Combs: That it was really easy. Then it became a learning experience as I stopped hearing from some schools even though I had one of my best summers playing baseball. It's made me work harder to get where I want to go and I am so thankful Coach Dintaman wants me to help continue his great program at Sinclair.

PBR: Now that you have your college decision out of the way, what are your individual and team goals going into the spring?

Combs: My individual goal is to get better everyday and boost my power numbers. Team goals are to win league, compete for a shot at the state title and play in the most wins in a 4 year period along with Ty Black at Waynesville.

PBR: What were your stats this spring season at Waynesville?

Combs: Career at Waynesville .354 average, 61 RBI,18 2B,5 3B, 36 BB 3 year starter

PBR: Who is the toughest pticher that you have faced in Ohio?

Combs: Zach Farmer of Piketon and Cincy Flames. You don't always face a lefty throwing that hard as a left-handed batter.
