PBR: Why did you choose Dayton?

Langdon: When I visited Dayton's team, coaches, facilities, and campus, I just knew it was where I wanted to be.  The first day I met the team, it was like I was a flyer already. 

PBR: What other schools were you considering?
Langdon: Bradley, Ashland, Tiffin, Wabash, Mount Union, Mount Vernon

PBR: You have made your commitment very early.  Why did you chose to make your decision so soon and are you finished with the recruiting process?

Langdon: I have always wanted to go to a school like UD.  I grew up 30 minutes away and came down to watch some of their games always saying how awesome it would be to play at the University of Dayton.  As soon as the opportunity came up for me to be a flyer, I had to take it.  I am done with the recruiting process now that I am going to be a Dayton Flyer.

PBR: Now that you have your commitment out of the way, what are your goals both individually and for the team going into your senior season?

Langdon: My goals are to be the best possible pitcher and player as I can be and help my team win as many games as we possibly can.  I want to lead our team to a state championship.

PBR:  UD is very close to home.  How much was that a factor in your college decision?

Langdon:  It was a very big part of my decision.  I've always wanted to stay somewhat close to home and Dayton has always been my first choice.

PBR: Where did Coach Vittorio first see you? How did your relationship develop with their coaching staff?

Langdon: I work out in the winter with the Dayton Classics and the UD staff was there to help the pitchers out.  I talked to the coaches and learned many new and useful tools on how to pitch.  It didn't take me long to figure out that this coaching staff was who I wanted to be with.

PBR: How does it feel to be a part of a Division 1 baseball program?

Langdon: I've always wanted to be a part of a Division 1 program since I was little.  It feels amazing to know that all my hard work and determination finally paid off.  I accomplished my goal of being a part of a Division 1 program.

PBR: Who do you play for in the summer and what was the most memorable experience from this summer?

Langdon: I played with the Dayton Classics who were a huge factor in helping me get to UD.  The coaching staff, the team, and the entire organization were awesome.  We played our best baseball at the CABA World Series, finishing 3rd.

PBR: What were your stats this spring season at Tippecanoe?

Langdon: I was 9-1 with a 1.07 ERA.  I had 61 K's, 2 saves, 5 shoutouts, and pitched 58.1 innings. My batting average was .368 and I had 27 RBI's.

PBR: Who is the toughest hitter that you have faced in Ohio?

Langdon: The toughest hitter I have ever faced would have to be Tom Stoffel (Virginia Tech commit).  I've played with him ever since we were little and I can remember always wanting to pitch to him because he was the kid to strikeout.
