Q and A with 2013 Adrian Commit: Miccoy Drzewiecki (Toledo St. Francis HS)
January 29, 2013
Miccoy Drzewiecki, RHP/3B, Toledo St. Francis HS, Class of 2013
PBR: Why did you choose Adrian?
Drzewiecki: I choose Adrian because the academics program for my major is top of the line and a 5 year program. The baseball program always competes for a conference title. It’s close to home, so my parents can come watch me play. It just was a great fit.
PBR: What other schools were you considering?
Drzewiecki: I was considering Akron, Bellarmine University, Wayne State and Heidelberg.
PBR: Where did the coaches first see you? How did your relationship develop with their coaching staff?
Drzewiecki: The coaches first seen me play last summer when my summer team was playing at Adrian, then at the fall ball River Bandits All Star game. Our relationship started after that with phone calls then my visits.
PBR: What role do the coaches expect you to play your first year on campus?
Drzewiecki: The coaches expect me to be a dual player, pitching and 3rd base. They think I can help the program right away.
PBR: What is your biggest strength as a player and how do you feel that you will help Adrian baseball?
Drzewiecki: I feel my biggest strength is my bat and my size to bring some heat with my pitching. It will be great to be a part of Adrian baseball.
PBR: Who do you play for in the summer and what was the most memorable experience from this summer?
Drzewiecki: I played with the Ohio Trojans last summer and will be playing for the Toledo Hawks this summer. My most memorable experience was playing at Michigan State.
PBR: Now that you have your commitment out of the way, what are your goals both individually and for the team for the rest of your senior season?
Drzewiecki: My goals for this year are TRAC player of the year and to be a leader for St. Francis baseball.
PBR: What were your stats for last spring season at Toledo St. Francis?
Drzewiecki: My stats last year were: .398, 9 HR, 4 triples, 30 doubles, 30 RBI.
