PBR: Why did you choose Ashland?
Edwards: I really liked the coaches, the facilities and the winning tradition of Ashland. I also liked the academics and the size of the school.

PBR: What other schools were you considering?
Edwards: I visited and looked at schools both at the division one and two levels.

PBR:  Where did Ashland first see you compete?
Edwards: I'm pretty sure the first time the coach’s saw me was at the Buckeye Scout during the summer, then a few more times after that.

PBR: As a two-way player, what role do the coaches expect you to play your first year on campus?Edwards: I am going in as a primary outfielder but they have also said that they would like me to work on pitching when I get there and compete for innings.

PBR: Coach Schaly has made Ashland a D2 powerhouse.  What will it be like to player under the legendary coach?
Edwards: It is going to be a lot of fun playing for a team that competes at such a high level each year. Coach Schaly has a ton of experience and I feel that I can learn a lot from him and the other coaches.

PBR: What is your biggest strength as a player and how do you feel that you will help Ashland?Edwards: I feel that I'm a balanced player that can help Ashland in the outfield, on the mound and at the plate.

PBR: Who has had the biggest impact on you as a baseball player?
Edwards: The people that have had the biggest impact on me would be my family, friends and coaches. They have looked out for me and my best interests and have given me good advice.

PBR: How does it feel to be a part of the Moeller baseball tradition?
Edwards: It feels great to be a part of everything that Moeller has done and continues to do. Moeller has given me a lot of great experiences and opportunities.

PBR:  Moeller currently has 6 college signee recruits and more to follow.  What are your team’s expectations for this spring?
Edwards: We have high expectations every year; this season will be no different. I'm excited to see what this year's team can do; I think we will do very well in the tournament.

PBR: Who is the toughest pitcher that you have faced in Ohio?
Edwards: I faced a lot of tough pitching over the summer with the Flames especially in East Cobb. Also between Moeller and the Flames there are a lot of good pitchers such as: John Tanner, Jimmy Lough, and Phillip Diehl.
