PBR New York sat down with New Hartford HS star C Connor Manderson for a question and answer session.
PBR NY: Tell me about your training and preparation for the upcoming 2014 baseball season?
Manderson: I have been training in the local gym, hitting and throwing daily. I feel I am getting myself prepared both physically and mentally for the upcoming season.
PBR NY: Could you describe your strengths and weaknesses?
Manderson: Strengths: Having a strong mental state—always staying engaged in what I am doing on and off the field. Hardworking, and focused as well. In regards to skill, being the best defensive catcher I can be. Weaknesses: My biggest challenge is not letting my offensive mind affect my defensive mind as a catcher.
PBR NY: Who is the top player you will face this high school season in your opinion?
Manderson: RHP Mitch Cavanagh (Onedia HS).
PBR NY: Who is the top team you will face this high school season in your opinion?
Manderson: Jamesville-Dewitt HS.
PBR NY: Could you tell us a fun fact about yourself most people don’t know?
Manderson: My first words were “Jorge Posada”, who is also my favorite player.
