Purdue University landed another top Class of 2015 when it received a verbal commitment from Kyle Ostrowski, a 6-foot-3, 170-pound LHP from Lincoln-Way North HS (IL) on Saturday.
Ostrowski is currently ranked No. 9 in Illinois – the top left-handed prospect – and No. 45 overall. He established himself as a premier prospect in the fall, when he showcased an easy 84-87 mph fastball from a 3/4 arm slot.
Ostrowski’s commitment marks the third Purdue has received from a top 10 Class of 2015 prospect in Illinois. He joins RHP Joe Uvelli (Elmwood Park HS, IL) and RHP/C/OF Nick Dalesandro (Joliet Catholic Academy HS, IL), who are the third- and fourth-ranked 2015 players in Illinois. Both Uvelli and Dalesandro are top 20 ranked players overall.
