TEXAS STATE
Righthander Zach Leigh is one of the more intriguing arms on this roster. Leigh made 21 appearances (one start) last season and tallied a 4.41 ERA in 34.2 innings of work. However, he’s expected to move into the weekend rotation, likely Friday nights, in the spring and have success. Leigh showed a fastball 90-92 mph and up to 93 against TCU a couple of weeks ago, while also having success at times with a mid-80s slider. The big key with Leigh is just repeating everything, from his delivery and more while the slider develops into a true swing and miss pitch.
