August 25, 2020
With the Top Prospect Games quickly approaching, we will be taking a look at a number of players to watch in the Prospect Preview leading into Nevada's largest event of the summer hosted Las Vegas Ballpark. This event will features some of the top players from the 2021, 2022, 2023 and 2024 classes who will be analyzed and assess with the help of the most advanced technology in baseball, TrackMan and Blast Motion. Day 1 will feature a Pro-Style workout where players will be running a Laser Timed 60, Batting Practice session using Blast Motion to analyze In-Swing Data and TrackMan to assess Post Contact Metrics, Outfield Evaluations, Infield Evaluations and Catcher Evaluations. Day 2 will include Live-Streamed simulated play that will allow some of the top arms in the state to showcase their abilities against some of the best bats Nevada has to offer.

Aric Anderson - 2021, Palo Verde, Uncommitted
Anderson was a backstop on the first ever team to represent Nevada at the 2019 Future Games. The smooth, left-handed hitter posted a PBR Verified 1.84 Pop Time at the Nevada State Games last summer as an incoming Junior. At Palo Verde, he has been developing behind Nevada’s #2 ranked 2020 prospect and now Oregon Duck, Josiah Cromwick, and this senior season is projected to be his breakout year as one of the top ranked catching prospects still on the board. Anderson is an Under the Radar prospect that should open some eye at this weekend’s event at Las Vegas Ballpark.

Joey Randazzo - 2022, Bishop Gorman, Uncommitted
Randazzo made up one half of the catching unit at the 2020 Future Games of Team Nevada. The Bishop Gorman product earned himself the spot on Team Nevada’s roster after an impressive Bishop Gorman Scout Day earlier this year where he posted a PBR Verified 1.97 Pop Time. Randazzo has consistently seen improvement in his receiving over the past few months to go with his left-handed bat that has always been the best part of his game. Over the summer, he’s has racked up the quality performances during his tournament play with the Bases Loaded Elite group and looks to continue that trend at the Top Prospect event his weekend.

Anthony Marnell IV - 2023, Bishop Gorman, Uncommitted
Marnell comes into the Top Prospect event as the top ranked catcher in the 2023 class. The switch-hitting backstop has already shown he is one of the top receivers in the state, regardless of class and proved that among the top catchers in the country at the 2020 Future Games where he threw out two base runners, one being from his knees. At the plate, he has made a few mechanical tweaks to his approach and has already seen it paying off after racking up a number of hits in his most recent event with a talented LVR group in Utah. Despite his freshman campaign being cancelled this year, Marnell has already garnered the attention of some of the top baseball programs from around the country and looks to continue solidifying himself as a prospect this weekend.
