COVID ended the 2020 season early throughout the State but as things progress quickly for the 2021 high school season, it’s time for us to preview teams from around the State in the Yearly Preseason Preview. Schedules are being adapted to fit the ever-changing landscape and though this season may look different than history has shown us, coaches/staff, players, families, and our team are preparing for 2021 to be as successful as possible.
We’ve submitted the Preseason Questionnaire to high school head coaches across the entire state and their responses have been flooding in. Over the next several weeks, we’ll be using their detailed insight on our team-by-team previews ahead of the 2021 season leading into the California Power 25 Rankings.

SEASON OUTLOOK:
Coach Hamilton is taking over a Carlmont program deep in tradition and he’s looking to keep that tradition going with a team that should be atop the division during the 2021 year. The Scots will be deep in talent in both the outfield and the overall depth for this team being led by a large group of upperclassmen. With lots of different contributors, the Offense will be a major strength extending pitchers on a regular basis. The Scots talent on the offensive end will need to be focused weekly for them to reach their potential as their pitching will be improving as the season continues. The Scots will be playing a largely regional schedule and that will bring some tough games for them, testing this talented team with some of NorCal’s better programs. Carlmont looks ready for those challenges and for a strong finish this season.
