COVID ended the 2020 season early throughout the State but as things progress quickly for the 2021 high school season, it’s time for us to preview teams from around the State in the Yearly Preseason Preview. Schedules are being adapted to fit the ever-changing landscape and though this season may look different than history has shown us, coaches/staff, players, families, and our team are preparing for 2021 to be as successful as possible.
We’ve submitted the Preseason Questionnaire to high school head coaches across the entire state and their responses have been flooding in. Over the next several weeks, we’ll be using their detailed insight on our team-by-team previews ahead of the 2021 season leading into the California Power 25 Rankings.
If you would like your team covered, please have your head coach email us at

SEASON OUTLOOK:
Ayala was off to a great start in 2020 before COVID took over and the Bulldogs are looking to take the positive momentum from last year and turn it into an even better 2021. The experiences from a strong 2020 season will bring confidence for the 2021 season and, the Bulldogs are pushing for a Palomares League title. With their depth, Ayala looks to be one of the better teams in the Southern Section. Returning 9 starters and 3 pitchers with 8 Division 1 commits on the roster, Ayala has the talent to make a run in the Southern Section for 2021. The offense is deep and with that many bats, opposing pitchers will not be happy to face the lineup. Athleticism will help on offense and also with a strong defense to support their group of pitchers.
