BOTTOM LINE: The Savages made a return trip last year to the final 8 and have been in this round of the 3A tournament 3 of the last 4 years.  The 2016 campaign came to an end at the hands of University High in an 8 inning 5-4 loss.  With 7 starters returning, you can bet the Savages are looking for a way to get that bad taste out of their mouths.  for Lamar at the plate, Tyler Geddes, .488 with 39 hits, Nick Navarette, .435 with 22 RBI and Davin Jacobs, .402, 6 doubles, 3 triples and 4 homeruns will be asked to spark the offense and match the 230 runs put up by the 2016 squad.  On the mound, No. 8 2018 Dalton Chandler will be the ace of the staff.  As a sophomore last year he complied a 5-2 record with 65 K's.  The Savages will go as far as this powerful right arm can take them.
