Scouting Report
6/13/17: Athletic, 6-foot-1, 180 pound catcher displayed quick twitch actions in the batters box and behind the plate. Pop times ranged between 1.99-2.08 with throws topping at 77mph. Feet are long, quick. Clean transfer, short arm action. Pops up on transfer. Fluid movements from the right side. Starts open, repeatable load. Long path to ball, quick barrel turn. Gap to gap power presence, much more to come. High follow in 2019 class.
4/8/17 Game Notes: Sophomore catcher has plus arm strength for his age. Pop times ranged between 1.95-2.03. Average receiver. Offensively, Brenczewski has a balanced setup with slight leg kick. Has pull side pop already. Produced multiple line drives including a deep left-center gap lineup.
2/25/17: 6-foot-1, 180 pounds. Offensively, open setup, small load back, leg kick timing trigger, average lower half/partial rotation at times. Good balance in the swing. Above average bat speed, uphill swing path, gets to extension. Gap to gap type power. Registered a high exit velocity of 84 mph. Defensively at 3B showcased fluid footwork with above average hands. Quick/clean exchange, plays through the baseball with some athleticism. Loose high ¾ arm action with carry, throws topped out at 83 mph. Ran a 7.56 in the laser-timed 60 yard dash.
